Une soirée
de projections et installations vidéo
autour du sous-titre
Vendredi 23 juin à 20h00 au cinéma Le Barbizon,
141 rue de Tolbiac, 13e, M° Tolbiac.
Nécessaire quoique perturbant la
vision, le sous-titre est un intermédiaire entre le film
et le spectateur qui désire l’oublier pour mieux
entrer dans l’image et dans la narration.
V.O.S.T. est une soirée de
projections vidéo déviant notre regard vers le
bas de l’écran. Les créations qui y sont
présentées – installations vidéos
interactives et films vidéo – y investissent le sous-titre
comme catalyseur de formes, d’expérimentations ou
de narration. Cet élément invasif ou discret occupe
alors une place à part entière.
V.O.S.T. est la première d'une
série de soirées de projections organisées
par Marika Dermineur et Alexis Chazard, consacrées aux éléments
qui se greffent et accompagnent l'image filmée.

V.O.S.T. An evening of screenings and video installations around the presence
of SUBTITLES into the image.
FRIDAY June 23 at 8pm in the movie theater Le Barbizon,
141 rue de Tolbiac, 13e, M° Tolbiac, Paris, France.
Necessary though disturbing the vision, the subtitle is an intermediary
between the movie and the spectator even if he most often wishes
to forget it for better deepening into image and narration.
V.O.S.T. is an evening of video screenings slightly deviating
our glance to the bottom of the screen. Creations which are presented – video
installations and video screenings – invest the subtitle
considered as a catalyst of forms, experiments or narration. This
casually invasive or discrete element then occupies its own special
place.
V.O.S.T. is the first of a series of evenings curated by
Marika Dermineur and Alexis Chazard, and devoted to elements that
surround the filmed image.

theater "Le Barbizon" :
